Life does not suck. I get to golf off the dock with Daddy every night before bed time while Mom and Zachary cheer me on. I could get used to this … PGA here I come …

Was up in Vancouver visiting Granny & Grandpa (it was his birthday!) and Uncle Gord & Aunt Lenka. After a great brunch I decided to hit the local playground to try out the equipment … it was fun!

Had a fun 4th of July celebrating Dad’s 40th birthday at Perry & Robyn’s place – love their pool! I think I missed most of the party but it was fun while we were there and Mom & Dad were going on about how glad they were that it wasn’t at our house . Took a family photo in the photo booth – very cool! Thanks Perry and Robyn for being such great hosts!!

Got to hang out with Marcy in Vegas this past weekend – she’s awesome and LOVED my new haircut – thanks Dad . I keep telling her that I’ll be driving before she knows it but she won’t take me seriously 
. Maybe the whole changing diapers thing is a turn off …

Miss Jean’s sister Jacquie and mom came out for a visit and brought me my very own tree to plant!!
I’m going to water it and take care of it and soon it will be bigger than me (I’m told).
Zachary got his own tree too (smaller, of course). Maybe one day we can hang a hammock between them and I can swing while he pushes .
Mother’s Day May 16, 2010

To celebrate Mother’s Day, Z and I posed in our best outfits for a photo (note to our photographers: Dressing Z in white and putting him in the foreground may not be the smartest from a photo composition perspective). Then Miss Jean helped me bring Mommy breakfast in bed. She loved it. Especially when I flooded the tray with milk to make it look like a frozen lake. Anyhow.
Dad was busy in Vegas playing in a poker tournament but promised Mom he’d celebrate it the following Sunday when he got back. I’m not sure whether or not he forgot about it or just wanted to make us look good but as far as I could tell, the extent of his Mother’s Day gift to Mom was an Oreo McFlurry at McDonalds (receipt attached as proof). Seriously Dad? You came in 2nd in the $50k buy in tournament – couldn’t you at least have sprung for a real blizzard? (Don’t worry Mom – when I start winning poker tournaments I’ll buy you lots of bling ).
Fishing with Papa Smith April 18, 2010

Papa Smith came down for a visit and Dad was determined to catch his first fish of the season. So off we all went in the boat – just the boys (well, minus Z but he’s a baby).
I think it was too early or something or maybe me splashing the water every minute didn’t help. Don’t worry Dad, that 10 lb bass is still out there!
