Went out to Crescent Beach to hang out with mommy & daddy’s friends, Sarah & Fred and Dave & Slo, and their respective kids, Charlotte and Taryn. Charlotte is over a year older than me and already speaks two languages (English and French) so I’m a bit in awe of her … but Taryn is 3 days younger than me (finally I’m not the youngest one around!) and I’m pretty sure I could kick her butt any day. Not that I’d ever pick on girls or anything … just saying …
We had a great afternoon visiting and hanging out (mostly napping in my case) and hopefully next year I’ll be able to make sandcastles and go swimming in the ocean.

Two of mommy’s friends, Sarah & Nicole, organized some of her Vancouver girlfriends to get together to meet and lavish me with gifts and loving … now that’s my kind of afternoon! Of course, because of our detour to Chicago we had to basically go straight from the airport there, so I wasn’t in my finest form, but I still had a blast 
. They played a game to see who knew mommy best but mommy didn’t even win … not sure how that makes any kind of sense … must be a chick thing.
Not only was I spoiled rotten, but I also got to hang out with some of my future posse (mommy’s friends kids) and do some preliminary planning … just wait until we’re a little older …. we are going to get into some TROUBLE!!

After a long weekend in Santa Monica celebrating Uncle Rafey’s 40th (man, he’s old) birthday, mommy and daddy whisked me off to Chicago for the opening of the Horseshoe Casino. They ditched me on Friday night to go to the opening party but Daddy made up for it by taking me and mommy to Wrigley field on Saturday so I could see my first Cubs game.
One inning was about enough for me though – I came, I saw, it’s cool, but take me back when I’m old enough to drink at Murphy’s pre-game please … that, or get me fake ID …
