My first volleyball :) March 19, 2009

It all started here … Gary, my mom’s old (I mean former, no wait, I mean old) Volleyball coach, brought me my very first volleyball today – nice! I have been working on my spike since day one so it was great that finally someone recognized my talents …

Since Mommy and Daddy met playing volleyball, I think it’s only appropriate that I grow up to be a professional beach volleyball player. If nothing else, I’ll be able to pay my way through college winning easy $ off of Uncle Rafey on volleyball bets (just like Mommy did at his wedding in Mexico – thanks DiAnnis!).

I don’t know what Marcy & Mommy were making such a big fuss about – my rubber ducky wanted a log or two to sit on …

Mommy and Daddy have finally come to their senses and rearranged the furniture just for me … not sure why they were in denial for so long …

Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament January 26, 2009

This is Daddy’s favorite event of the year – he loves the Bahamas. He plays golf, does a bit of gambling and hangs with some of his athlete/actor/singer friends. You may have heard that Daddy is a teensy bit competitive – each year he’s dying to win the celebrity golf tournament. This year, him and his partner Kenny Lofton (baseball player) had a real shot – they were tied for 3rd at one point … unfortunately Kenny got food poisoning or something the night before the final round so they weren’t in top shape that last day. I tried to help him out with his short game but too little too late. Oh well, it was still fun to watch him play!

Since Daddy thinks I should run for President one day, he took a few minutes away from golfing to get some political tips from President Clinton.

I’d fill you in on what he said but some of it might be a little ummm “advanced” for this audience …
Atlantis January 24, 2009

If you haven’t checked out all the fishies and sharks and rays, etc. at the Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas, I’d definitely say it’s a “must see”. I’m not even sure what half the things I saw were but they were really, really cool!

There are also awesome pools for kids to go swimming and some super fun water slides (which I’m too young for right now – rats!).

I hung out with Annie quite a bit as Marcy got in a car accident just before we left – thank goodness she’ll be okay but we sure missed her! Luckily karma was in full force that day – the stupid loser who rear-ended her and then took off hit her so hard his license plate fell off at the scene. Hit n Runs aren’t so effective when you leave your plate behind! Serves him right!!

Charlotte to see the Gordon clan January 20, 2009

Finally made it out to Charlotte to visit the Gordon clan. Had a great time seeing Grandpa Mike and Ann and all my uncles, aunts, cousins, etc. who live out that way. I like Grandpa Mike and Ann’s house – it came equipped with a pack n play, high chair & even an exersaucer just for me – now that’s my kind of place!

Based on what I saw of my relatives, I’ve got a feeling that I’m going to be on the taller side … Daddy’s bet with Uncle Rafey is looking pretty good at this point …

Our new home January 7, 2009

I’m still in a state of disbelief but Mommy and Daddy bought me the most AMAZING ranch, complete with horses, goats, llamas, donkeys, cats, a lake, ATVs, snowmobiles and even my very own firetruck! Daddy’s a little freaked out about how much snow there is in the winter (over 4 feet at last count) but summers there should be great fun. Daddy is working on a website for it so stay tuned for more info!

Why crawl when you can stand? December 30, 2008
Posted by xandergordon in Uncategorized.2 comments
The whole crawling thing was fun, for about a week. But I’ve moved on – like Mommy and Daddy I get bored easily. Since this past weekend I’m all about pulling myself up and standing – like, all the time. Just before I realized I could stand up (and maybe escape!!???) from my crib, Mommy, Granny Smith & Marcy lowered the mattress and raised the rail – rats, they were one step (ha ha) ahead of me – foiled, but only for now …

Xman does Xmas December 26, 2008

I entertained a bunch of my family this Christmas – I was so in demand even my Aunt Ashley, Uncle Ryan and cousins (who are Jewish and don’t usually celebrate Christmas) agreed to come participate in the whole Santa thing just to be with me (way to take one for the team Zakai, Anisa & Sarina!).

Granny & Grandpa Smith flew in from Vancouver with Uncle Gord. Uncle Gord had a lot of fun with my cousins – he’s approximately their age so that all worked out …

but unfortunately Aunt Lenka was stuck back in Vancouver in MAJOR SNOW! We missed her big time

We also missed Grandpa Mike and Ann but we’ll see them in a few weeks when we go visit so that should be fun.
We did stockings,

Xmas tree, gingerbread stuff (Anisa is the best gingerbread house/tree/train maker ever!),

yummy Xmas dinner (thanks Annie & Daddy!)

and, of course, gifts
.

Sarina helped feed me one day (and slipped me some chocolate M&Ms when Daddy wasn’t looking) and Zakai destroyed Daddy in Wii bowling.
All and all, I dig the whole Xmas thing and can’t wait for next year. But Mommy says now I have to be good for a WHOLE year??? Aw geez ….
