I’ve had a great visit with my Grandpa Mike & Ann … I took them on walks around the ranch, they read me some books and brought me my new best friend – a super soft puppy dog pillow called Sadie.

They’re off to see my cousins tomorrow – something tells me the next few days will be a teensy bit different than the relaxing time they’ve had visiting me …

I love the beach in Point Roberts – especially when there’s barely anyone else around and I get the sandbars and waves all to myself…

… well, not quite to myself – had to share with the resident blue heron but I can handle that!

If you don’t get up and moving now I’m gonna get you!!!

Daddy finally got sick of tilting the cornhole board for me to slide down so now I have my very own slide.

I love climbing up and sliding down.  Climbing up and sliding down.  Climbing up and sliding down …

I’m pretty good at it too!

Professional lounging is a skill – I’m working hard at it

My favorite thing to do (besides boobie) is to play with rocks.  Mommy and Daddy have spoiled me and bought me a whole road full of them – hooray!!!

Meet my new puppies, Turk & Caicos.  They are Anatolian Shepherd Dogs and Mommy says they will ALWAYS be bigger than me … not fair!!

Mommy, I’m working REALLY hard on a present for you …

My fellow children, I sit before you today, humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by those before us.

That we are in the midst of a crisis is now well understood.   Our naps our being extended, feedings shortened and toys imported from countries all over the world.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real, they are serious, and they are many.  They will not be met easily or in a short span of time.  But know this, they will be met.

Everywhere we look there is work to be done.  Our situation calls for action: bold and swift.  We will hold out for more cupboards to open, fewer gates around stairs and more bubbles at bath time.  We will cry out for more rocks to throw, fewer clothes to wear and more piggy back rides.

All this we can do.  All this we will do.

And for those who seek to advance their aims by not giving us ice cream and putting us in time out, we say to you know that “Our cries are louder and cannot be silenced.  You cannot outlast us and we will defeat you.”

Don’t tell me we can’t change. Our diapers are changed seven, eight times a day.  We can be the change we want to see in our world.

Yes, we can.
